Danica is a Pilates instructor from California with over eight years of experience teaching Pilates, yoga, and spin. She has taught across the U.S., England, and Australia. Her classes include classical Pilates as well as modern variations that follow traditional Pilates and yoga principles while incorporating strength, cardio, and high-intensity interval training to create balanced, full-body workouts. Energetic and music-driven, her classes are designed to challenge the body while keeping movement fun and accessible.

I grew up as a dancer, so movement has always been a big part of my life. I first found Pilates whilst living and working in Sydney on my gap year, and instantly fell in love with it. The pressure free, supportive environment with a focus on flow to build strength and control was exactly what I needed. After moving to York for Uni, I got 

I grew up as a dancer, so movement has always been a big part of my life. I first found Pilates whilst living and working in Sydney on my gap year, and instantly fell in love with it. The pressure free, supportive environment with a focus on flow to build strength and control was exactly what I needed. After moving to York for Uni, I got back into Pilates and was inspired to qualify to teach over my summer break. In my classes I aim to create a supportive, relaxing, yet challenging environment, ensuring you feel the burn whilst also having fun!

Previously qualifying as a paramedic in London taught me both the strengths and the weaknesses of the human body and the importance of building muscle and in particular core strength.

After practicing Mat Pilates for many years I was keen for an added challenge with Pilates based principles and that’s when I tried the reformer and was instantly hooked! Shortly afterwards I trained with Balances Body and became an instructor. I am passionate about teaching others the versatility of the reformer and how we can all life a long and strong life at any age!

In my classes, I focus on creating a relaxed and supportive environment where you can tune into your body, move with purpose, and breathe a little deeper. It’s not about pushing through for the sake of it - it’s about finding movement that feels natural, restorative, and enjoyable.

Now, as a dedicated Vinyasa, Yin, and Mandala yoga teacher, Martina is passionate about sharing this transformative practice. Her classes are designed to be inclusive and welcoming to all levels, artfully combining mindful movement, essential breathwork (pranayama), and calming meditation. I’m Ella, a qualified Mat & Reformer Pilates instructor with a lifelong passion for movement. Having grown up with dance as a core part of my life and being surrounded by Yoga and Pilates, exercise has always been so important to me.

After practicing Pilates for years myself, I very quickly fell in love with it - not only for how it makes you feel physically stronger, but for the confidence, balance, and positivity it can bring into everyday life. This passion inspired me to become an instructor so I could hopefully help others feel these same benefits.

I blend elements of both classical and contemporary Pilates into my classes and my main aims are to create a safe, welcoming and positive environment where clients can build confidence, feel stronger and empowered to move in a way that makes them feel their best.
